LAYER BY LAYER was founded on a simple mission: making 3D printing accessible. We started by providing hobbyists with a streamlined, "print-as-is" service: minimizing labour costs by delivering raw prints and leaving the finishing touches to the creator. We built on this foundation, but wanted to keep the flexibility for the customer. Every project is unique, and we pride ourselves on tailoring our involvement to meet your specific needs and budget.

PRICING AND PROCESS

We provide custom quotes for every project. This ensures you only pay for exactly what you need. Our pricing is calculated based on:

  • Material & Volume: The type and total amount of resin or filament used.

  • Machine Time: The complexity and duration of the print.

  • Post-Processing: Services such as support removal, UV curing, and cleaning.

  • Technical Input: Any necessary design adjustments or printability optimization.

The Workflow: Once you submit your file, we conduct a professional printability check and material assessment. You will then receive a detailed, transparent quotation for your approval.

Please Note: All projects are made to order. Lead times and availability depend on current printer capacity and material stock.

The journey from concept to reality starts with choosing the right technology. We offer both Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) and resin printing. Each technology has its benefits and drawbacks. We will guide you to find the technology best suited for your needs.

Ideal for functional parts, large-scale prototypes, robust components, or terrain prints for miniature games.

Masked Stereolithography Apparatus

Best for miniatures, jewelry, and high-detail visualizations. This method uses light-cured photopolymers to achieve incredible surface quality and microscopic precision.

FOR HOBBYISTS
